Description

This toque doesn’t just look cozy it will keep you warm in the cold or damp days of winter. The simple geometric design is an old favourite found in colourwork designs all over the world.

This pattern includes a link to a video of Sylvia Olsen demonstrating Intuitive Colourwork©. Learn how to weave two colours into every stitch and achieve the elasticity and interior beauty found in traditional Cowichan knitting. Intuitive Colourwork© can’t be called either stranded nor jacquard; many say the truly unusual part of it is when you turn the work inside out and see the amazing pebbled look. While this unique technique is used elsewhere and was not invented by Coast Salish knitters, they have used it extensively for more than 80 years.
